South Florida Car Finder FAQ

South Florida Car Finder is a local directory connecting drivers with independent rental providers across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

For drivers

Does SFCF rent cars or take bookings?
No. SFCF helps you find and compare rental listings. The independent provider handles rental approval, insurance verification, agreements, rental payments, deposits and pickup. SFCF is not a party to your rental agreement.
Do I need an account to browse?
You can browse listings and fleet profiles without an account. A free Driver account lets you save vehicles and searches and use account-based inquiry options. Some Driver Toolkit products are paid; not every driver tool is free.
How do I contact a rental provider?
Open a listing and choose Contact Owner to see its contact options. Where messaging is enabled, sign in to send an inquiry. Unclaimed profiles do not have SFCF messaging enabled; use any published provider website or contact details shown. Confirm availability and terms directly before paying.
What do weekly or monthly rates include?
Each provider sets its rates and rental period. Compare the stated weekly or monthly amount separately from the deposit, fees and mileage allowance. Ask about minimum terms, excess-mile charges, refundable-deposit conditions, fuel, tolls and the total due upfront. Do not assume insurance or unlimited mileage is included.
Can I use a listed car for Uber, Lyft or delivery?
Use labels reflect the provider’s stated permission, not platform approval. Confirm permission with the provider and check the current app rules for the specific vehicle, your account and the area where you will drive. A listing does not guarantee rideshare or delivery eligibility.
What should I ask about insurance?
Ask who supplies coverage, which driving uses it permits, when coverage applies, the deductibles and exclusions, and what happens after an accident or during repairs. SFCF does not verify coverage for you. See our insurance questions and rental guidance.
How do I set or manage availability alerts?
Use Alert Me to enter a served ZIP, city or county, budget and preferences, opt in, then confirm the email link. Manage that alert through its management link; signed-in drivers can also manage location alerts in their dashboard. ZIP alerts match the exact ZIP, not the search’s 25-mile radius. Alerts are not reservations or guarantees of availability.
Which areas are served, and is pickup in my city?
The directory focuses on Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. ZIP searches start with a 25-mile radius and Closest first. Nearby results may have pickup in another city; confirm the actual address and any delivery option with the provider. Search your ZIP for nearby pickup options.

For owners and fleets

How do I list my fleet?
Create an Owner account, complete your company profile, then add vehicle details, pricing, photos and availability in your Owner dashboard. You can save a draft before it is ready. Publishing requires complete listing information and a photo, and must fit your plan’s public vehicle limit. Keep terms and availability current. Get started with an owner listing.
How do I claim an existing fleet profile?
Choose Claim on the unclaimed business profile or visit Claim your business. Sign in and follow the ownership verification steps. If email verification is unavailable, the claim page explains how to request another verification method. A claim is not automatically granted.
Where can I see current owner plans and vehicle limits?
See Plans and pricing for current Free Basic, Pro and Fleet options, public vehicle limits and any available offers. Your dashboard shows your plan and billing options. SFCF’s listing plans are separate from rental payments agreed between you and a driver; SFCF does not take a rental commission.
